About the Consultation

Homeopathic ConsultationThe initial homeopathic appointment includes a consultation that lasts 60 to 90 minutes, to gather information about the presenting health complaint(s) and health history. The Homeopath will then ask relevant, detailed questions about appetite, sleep patterns, life style, sensitivities to the environment and temperament. All responses are confidential.

Based on this information, one or more remedies will be prescribed that are most similar to the individual, to begin the process of stimulating and strengthening the healing response or immune system.  This addresses chronic complaints.

The remedies come in small pellets that are tipped directly onto the tongue or in drops to be taken in water and can be repeated daily, weekly, or as needed for acute symptoms, depending on the case and individual response of the patient.

Because remedies are pleasant to the taste, parents find them easy to administer and most children enjoy taking them.

A follow-up appointment is scheduled in 4-6 weeks that lasts 30 to 45 minutes to assess the progress and improvements with adjustments in the potency and dosage being made at that time. Depending on the duration and severity of the initial complaints appointments are generally stretched to 8 weeks, 10 weeks, 12 weeks, and then as needed. Many clients will return once or twice a year to maintain the improvements or boost their overall immune response during cold and flu season.
