I am excited to announce that in March I fully-qualified to practice Systematic Kinesiology. The training consisted of 6 months and more than 100 hours of lectures, demonstrations and practical clinical cases from The Academy of Systematic Kinesiology (TASK) in the UK led by Claire Muller.
Kinesiology is the study of movement which has applications in orthopedics, occupational therapies, physical therapy and rehabilitation, among others. Systematic Kinesiology utilizes muscle testing to assess organ weakness, nutritional deficiencies, lymphatic congestion, hormonal imbalances, and weakened immunity. It is holistic preventative and support therapy which also consists of massage, acupressure stimulation, cranial sacral adjustments, and meridian balancing.
The most popular requests are for Lymphatic Drainage support which utilizes a massage treatment with a support tonic to help facilitate movement of the Lymphatic System. The Lymphatic System has more fluid than blood in the body with no pump so is highly susceptible to congestion with can lead to weakened immunity. Another common request is for food testing in which the client brings foods he/she thinks are responsible for digestive, skin, or mood changes. The client will hold the food and muscle will show weakness for the food or food group. Babies and Children can be tested through the surrogate (parent, grandparent, etc.).
My training in Systematic Kinesiology also incorporates the use of Bach Flower remedies for emotional support as in holistic health and well-being the body and mind are connected. These are given during the treatment along with tapping meridian points to help release emotional trauma.
My intension in adding the Kinesiology therapy was to offer another complementary therapy as well as to support my homeopathy practice which is now in its 20th year! Assessing information via muscle testing can also help validate appropriate remedies, potencies, tissue salts and organ support tinctures.
Treatments last approximately 75 minutes and the client lies on a table, fully clothed, in a relaxed and professional setting at my holistic clinic on Baggot Street.
